πίστις

(pistis)

My faith isn’t blind.

It requires no leap.

Truth and forgiveness

Were revealed through His deeds.

The word became flesh,

His blood, the reality.

Ink on papyrus

Shouts out from antiquity.

My faith isn’t blind.

Limp and lifeless legs

Remade to walk – by Him –

Proved the humbling truth:

By faith He forgives our sin.

My faith isn’t blind.

Life and death foretold

In prophets’ lamentations:

Rejected by man

Yet pierced for our transgressions.

My faith isn’t blind.

It requires no leap.

Truth and forgiveness

Were revealed through His deeds.
