So, what is this archaic word Apologetics?

2 :a branch of theology devoted to the defense of the divine origin and authority of Christianity

It seems the transcendent beauty of the gospel most often permeates our culture from blossoms born of three branches growing from the same vine. Historically, the sweet smell and vibrant colors of truth sprung forth from ministers, missionaries and apologists. Unfortunately, a near bareness plagued the apologist’s branch for a season…but only a season…for it now appears countless green buds dot the apologist’s branch and the beautiful flowers now in full bloom serve as a regal curtain anxiously awaiting the moment God calls for history’s final act.
